Casey’s Bar-B-Q

Casey’s Bar-B-Q

September 28, 2013August 1, 2014 / Barbecue Bros / 5 Comments

Another classic NC barbecue ad from this great tumblr. From what I can deduce fromĀ a quick Google search result, Casey’s was a barbecue restaurant in Greensboro circa 1956 that may have been just outside of the present day UNC-Greensboro campus near the intersection of Friendly Avenue and N. Aycock St.

The Barbecue Bros hometown of High Point has a newer barbecue option, and it's even in the city's first food hall. Biscuits Brisket & Beer is located in the Stock + Grain Assembly Food Hall in downtown High Point, next to Truist Point Park.
In this week's review, I quite liked @firehawkbrewpub and plan to visit again very soon. More at the link in profile.

The history was there, but unfortunately not the ribs. At least on this time and at the Birmingham South location. Full report at link in profile.

Saturday lunch at Barbecue Center in Lexington, NC. They tend to be overshadowed by nearby Lexington Barbecue but for me, Barbecue Center is every bit as good. Well worth a visit next time you're in the area. -Monk
